Sensory Activities

Thankfully to the world of Pinterest, we've come up with a few sensory activities that have kept Mitchell busy and (hopefully) learning.
Sensory Activity #1 goop in a ziploc bag to squish around.....
or to take off of the highchair ingnoring it's intended purpose.
and then realizing the essense of sticky stuff that won't come off your hand easily...even if you shake it.
Sensory Activity #2 yogurt on the highchair for finger painting.
 great, Mitchell! You're getting it!
Oh, wait.....maybe not. Smacking it and making it splatter everywhere is also a form of art.....in someone's terms somewhere, I'm sure.
And finally #3, beans in a casserole dish. This was the hardest to clean up (and in fact I'm sure there's still a few beans somewhere in the cracks and crevices of my kitchen) but the most entertaining. He played with his spoon and beans for probably 20 or so minutes.
Here's one of his newest tricks, standing up from being on the floor without any props. He hardly crawls anymore!
Please note the pacifier which was key to this activity. Otherwise I'm sure that I would have found several undigested dry beans in his diaper. That, I'm sure, would not have been pleasant for Mitchell.
