This is what Lacie looked like when she would come in from being outside in the snow. She burried her face in the snow and came inside looking like this many times. She got the grooming of a lifetime however this week so she doesn't look like this anymore. We have had the hardest time finding a good groomer. The first place we went to was pretty cheap but she came home one time shaking her head and scrating her ears all night long. We paid a $111 vet bill for a double ear infection. They had their daughter working there (about 11 years old) and something just didn't sit right with them. So the next step was Pet Smart. They forgot to clip her toe nails and left one strip of hair on her head untrimmed....almost like a sideways mohawk. And they were the most expensive we've been to. The last place I took her to, the groomer was pretty rude to me. I walked in and they didn't expect me. "Can we help you?" they asked. "Yes, Lacie has an appointment at noon." The groomer walks towards me and ever so (not) politely said, "No, HER appointment was at 10:30." "Oh, I was told noon (or so I thought)." I offered to make a different appointment but she took Lacie from me and said, "Oh I'll just do her." Lacie's hair is the shortest I have ever seen it. She almost shaved to the skin in a couple places and it's winter! She said she had to go short because her fur was matted, which it was so maybe she did need to go that short. She asked me if I wanted her card at the end and I was tempted to say no thanks but I took it anyways. So, I got a referral for someone new. Wish me luck. Or I should say wish Lacie luck.
