December 2 was Chris's 22nd birthday. I took the day off of work because I wanted to spend some time with him since he had to go to work at night.

After presents we headed out to IHOP for breakfast. Chris was a good sport and let me take his picture (after some persuasion).
Later that day we had to go to court. Chris got a speeding ticket and we tried to fight it because his spedometer was broken and he was going with the flow of traffic. We still had to pay the ticket but they took the points away so that it won't affect our insurance. Thank goodness!
I made the cake that Chris wanted...yellow with chocolate frosting except he didn't let me frost it. haha He wanted to do it himself. He also didn't want white frosting for the lettering so I had to be creative. By golly I was going to decorate his birthday cake because that's just what a good wife does! He loves sprinkles so I put some sprinkles in a straw and drew out "22". It wasn't the greatest but I did get to decorate the cake!
A couple nights later, my parents came over to celebrate Chris's birthday. They brought his favorite, a dozen Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

I made a little birthday banner and put it up at about 3 am along with some printed out signs.
The day started at 6:30 (it's a good thing it was his birthday because that's almost as early as when I get up for work!) and opened presents. I bought him a waterproof watch with an alarm for camping, cologne, and a golf putting thing (which later turned into a contribution to a golf/pool game) and probably the most successful...a flannel. I hate flannels...well maybe I don't hate them but I really dislike them but I wanted to buy him a present he would like and that would really suprise him so that's what I bought. He was pretty impressed and liked it a lot....mission accomplished!

Court was a pretty interesting experience. There are all kinds of people that have to go to court. We thought it would be a good idea for Chris to go in a suit and dress up (since really that's all we've seen people wear in court on TV) but he was one of two people out of about 100 that was dressed up. Oops! Ohwell. I'm grateful we're not familiar with the court system.
After we got home we ate shrimp alfredo and played his golf pool game. It was a great day!
