Let the Planning Begin!

I think every little girl at one point in her life pictures her wedding as a living fairy tale. I've learned it's a little more complicated than that....but it is wonderful. Here's a few things I've started to put together. The colors are a dark purple, navy blue, and white. I imagine having different shades of blues and purple. I just love putting colors together too much to just have the rigidity of just three colors. The plan is that these are the main colors but I'm open to accents.

I was the most worried about finding a dress. Here in Indiana, the dress shops aren't exactly brimming with wedding dresses that come with sleeves. In fact, I was not impressed with David's Bridal as they had no dresses with sleeves. They have jackets and can sew on sheer sleeves, but that just wasn't going to cut it. I ended up buying a dress from Greta's in South Bend. It's a beautiful dress and I feel like a princess in it...which is pretty important criteria for your wedding day.

Chris has been such a great help so far! We had a "future Johnson family" meeting on Saturday where we figured out what needs to be done and when we should do it. It's such a fun adventure...stressful at times...but so exciting!
