Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was so fun this year! We started out at 6:30 AM. Chris and I put the turkey in the oven, pulled out the Rhoads rolls to thaw and rise, and went back to bed for a little bit. Sadly, as soon as I laid down, the baby woke up for his early morning feeding and didn't go back to sleep for some reason. So I took him downstairs and we continued the preparation for our feast. We had turkey, mashed potatoes (instant, of course!) and gravy, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, rolls, and pumpkin pie (which was store bought). It was delicious!

I should have taken a picture of the turnkey straight out of the oven and before it was cut up, but that thought came a little too late.
Chris carved the turkey! It was our first time making one and it turned out pretty good!
Aunt Cassie helped by taking care of Mitch while we were in the kitchen. She also bought him the cutest outfit for his first turkey day.

After eating at our house, I took Mitchell out to see some family. We went to my Uncle's house (on my Dad's side) and then my Mom and us went to my Aunt's house (on her side of the family). It was pretty busy and by the end of the day, we were both pretty tuckered out.
I have so many wonderful things to be grateful for. A wonderful husband who works so hard for us and who is a righteous priesthood holder and leader of our family. A beautiful, fun, busy, and happy baby boy. I LOVE being able to stay at home with Mitchell for the most part. I work part time while either Chris or Grandma watches Mitchell. Luckily it's only 12 hours a week but it's enough to add some income for our necessities. We have LOTS of family who love and care for us. They are loving and willing to help us when we need it and for that we are completely grateful. Most importantly, the gospel of Jesus Christ. How sad it would be for us if we were not an eternal family and if we were not able to return to live with our Heavenly Father after we die. I am most grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, who has made that possible and hope that I can be like him more and more each day.
