I cannot believe how much Mitchell has been learning and growing in the past 2 months. He is long overdue for an update.
At 9 months he learned:
to stand by himself
to answer the question, "Who am I? What's my name" with Mama (whether it be Mom or Dad :) )
instead of just one "Whoa or Wow" he now whispers wow three times. It's really cute. "Wow, Wow, Wow"
to eat breakfast by himself. I give him half a banana, a piece of whole wheat toast with a little butter and then I usually feed him some yogurt.
to walk behind his walking cart that he got for Christmas. He took off with it when we doubted he'd be able to do it!
to kind of turn his walking cart around when he hits the wall or is blocked by something.
to drink water from a sippy cup. He can only drink from the cheap kind that doesn't need much suction to get water out so I have to hold it for him.
get into all the cupboards in the kitchen...especially the ones that Mommy doesn't want him in!
At 10 months he learned:
to clap (just yesterday)
to walk!!! He took his first steps with Chris and I encouraging him on Saturday
the same day, Chris taught him how to climb the stairs
to yell and wave after someone says hi to him. I think he thinks he's saying hi but it doesn't really sound like it.
whinning.....and a wierd face where he scrunches up his nose and furrows his eye brows to say "I'm suffering" he's using it a lot with a little whiny voice. He'll do it with new people, loud noises, and lots of times in between. I think he's learned it gets him some attention. Silly kid
He now knows what buttons to push to make his toys work. First he did it with Grandpa and Grandma Standiford with a cow they gave him for Christmas. He was so happy with himself that he knew how to make it moo!
I am continually amazed at how much he's learning in such a short amount of time. Love him!!
